    CWA Social Media Policy Guidelines

CWA strongly supports the use of social media sites to discuss and advocate for the important issues facing members and working families today. While these sites offer many advantages, they also can cause serious legal problems if they are not properly used and can lead to complicated legal proceedings as well as potential disciplinary action against employee users. We have developed these guidelines for CWA members to consult when using social media to help avoid legal or other problems.

Election 2018 Tentative Certificate of Results

All petitions for nomination to the CWA Local 1123 Executive Board have been returned and have been presented to the Election Committee.  After examination of the petitions by the committee, it has been determined that since all positions for the District Vice President for the Central Office/Watch Engineer/COEI/Clerical/Mechanics/Misc. were unopposed, therefore there will not be an election:

As per our local bylaws, there will not be an election for any office or elected position in the Local Union that is unopposed.  Article XIV, Section 2 – Elections, par G. states:

Whenever there is an unopposed candidate duly nominated for any office

or elected position in the Local Union, the chair of the Election Committee

shall cast one vote for the nominee and that candidate shall be considered

elected without the necessity of an election.

    Results are as follows:

    DISTRICT VICE PRESIDENTS:

Kelly Fassinger                       Central Office/Watch Engineer/COEI/                                   Unopposed

                                                                   Clerical/Mechanics/Misc.

This is the Election Committee’s tentative certification of results. Unless challenged, this certification will become final in ten (10) days
