Verizon Message
Given the easy access to COVID tests, effective July 1, for on-site employees with COVID symptoms, we're updating the time frame to get tested and provide test results from 1 day to 2 hours.
All Verizon U.S. employees have easy access to them. Here’s 3 ways to get your free tests.
- Order them from the U.S. government. Each household can order up to 4 free at-home COVID tests from the federal government at covidtests.gov.
- Use your benefits. If you participate in a Verizon-sponsored medical plan that includes prescription drug coverage through Express Scripts, you and your covered dependents are each eligible for up to 8 over-the-counter (OTC) qualifying COVID test kits every 30 days. You can either order them online through Express Scripts and have them shipped to your home or go to an Express Scripts in-network retail pharmacy. Either way, there will be no cost to you. Details here.
- Purchase a COVID test on your own and submit the expense for reimbursement to your health insurance plan for up to $12 per test. (If you participate in a Verizon-sponsored medical plan through Anthem or UHC, you’d submit it for reimbursement to Express Scripts.) More information can be found on our COVID-19 resource page. The site also has additional information regarding tests, including onsite testing at CVS.
COVID is still with us. By testing, all of us can help manage its spread. And the best time to get a test is before you have any symptoms. Thank you.
