Hello everyone,
On Thursday, June 13th, we picketed in front of the bargaining session at the Marriott to send a clear message to eBay: we will not accept a year of stalling at the bargaining table. We will not let them refuse to bargain on the issues that matter to AC workers.
Going into today’s session, management still owed us responses on 26 proposals we have put forward, some from as far back as 9 months ago when bargaining started. They have said they are targeting November to reach a contract, but the pace they have kept isn’t even sufficient to hit that mark. We believe that buckling down and putting in the effort to make real progress would get us the contract we all deserve much sooner. We can’t be quiet in the face of their disrespectful delays—we have to be loud enough that they can’t ignore us.
Today, we stood united, and we were loud! You could hear our chanting all the way at the Civic Center and in the bargaining session at the Marriott!
Join with your union again today, Friday, June 14th, from 12pm–1:30pm for another round of picketing at the second bargaining session. Let’s finish strong, TCGunion, and show eBay that we’re united! Even if it’s just to grab a taco, hold the banner, or lend your voice, every person matters to show our strength and unity. We’ll see you there!
In solidarity,
Your Bargaining Committee and Mobilizing Committee
